Provenance: Owned by the same client for 24 years, handwritten letter from Jack Shadbolt describing the circumstances surrounding the painting and an explanation of the details.
 
4th Painting wasn't photographed as clients did not have room to display it and therefore it is in storage. However, it is similar to Painting #1.
 
This series of paintings was done from Jack's cottage on Hornby Island one summer and in his letter Jack clearly describes the enjoyment he had painting it and there are all sorts of symbols (the Navaho Headband of the Bride) that he has embellished in the paintings.
