Elspeth Armstrong

Elspeth Armstrong is a graduate of the 3-year Famous Artists Commercial Art, Illustration and Design course in Westport Conn., and she practiced commercial art for several years. Consulting and public facilitation took precedence for many years, and 11 years ago, Elspeth returned to her first love, painting.

The Canadian wilderness, especially B.C.'s rugged coast and islands, has added a powerful dimension to her work. Using high quality acrylic paints on canvas, Elspeth focuses on colour and light to express her joy and awe of the richness around her. Focusing mainly on BC's varied coastal terrain, her acrylic on canvas paintings express her joy and awe of the richness around her.

Elspeth has participated in numerous solo, group and juried shows. Her paintings can be found in corporate and private collections across Canada, the U.S. and South Africa. Elspeth is represented by Denise Bezanson of Bezanson Art Consulting Inc. (spring and fall Group Shows at Park Place, Vancouver, B.C.) and Arbutus Gallery, Hornby Island, BC.
